About Coach Kacey Burke

 

Play Soccer In College is led by Kacey White Burke.

 

 

Coaching Experience

 

Kacey most recently served as Head Coach of the Women's Soccer Program at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, where the team enjoyed its best success in almost two decades.

 

Prior to that, Coach Burke was Assistant Coach at the University of Oklahoma, Texas Tech University and Southern Methodist University. She has extensive experience coaching and recruiting at the D1 level.

 

During her time in the college ranks, Coach Burke was known as a tireless worker, outstanding recruiter and teacher; someone always focused on helping her players reach their academic and athletic potential.

 

Her ability as a teacher, player, leader and mentor helped her players and teams achieve success both in the classroom and on the soccer field.

 

Now, through Play Soccer In College, Coach Burke looks to take her knowledge and life experiences and help her clients navigate the college placement process and prepare for success in college and in life.

 

Coach Burke has held a United States Soccer Federation B License coaching certification since 2010. She is also a current member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and an active member of NACWAA.

 

 

College Career

 

Kacey was a two-time All American soccer player in 2004 and 2005 at the University of North Carolina where she was a member of the 2003 NCAA National Championship team. A three time All-ACC team member, Kacey was named the ACC Tournament Most Valuable Player in 2005.

 

National Team and Olympic Team

 

Kacey was a full member of the USA Women’s National Team and the USA Olympic Team from 2006-2010. She was on the U-21 Women’s National Team and Nordic Cup Champions from 2004-2006 and on the U-19 Women’s National Team from 2001-2002.

 

 

Professional Career

 

Coach Burke has extensive experience playing at the professional level. She played in the USA Women’s Professional League for the Sky Blue FC when it won the inaugural WPS Championship in 2009 and also played for the Magicjack of the WPS.

 

Kacey also played for AIK and Balinge IF of the Swedish Professional League.

 

 

Personal

 

Kacey graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Sports Science from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 2006.
